Question :-

  • The length of a rectangular play groundis 75m and it's breadth is 50m. Rupali walk four rounds. How many kilometres did she walk ?

ㅤ‎‎‎‎ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Given :-

  • Length of ground = 75 m
  • Breadth of ground = 50 m
  • Rupali walks four rounds.

To find :-

  • Distance she walked in km's.

Formula to remember :-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × ( l + b)

ㅤ‎‎‎‎ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Solution :-

ㅤ‎‎‎‎➨ Distance she walked in one round :-

Perimeter = 2 ( 75 + 50)

ㅤ‎‎‎‎ㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 2 ( 125 )

ㅤ‎‎‎‎ㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 250 m

➨ Distance she will cover in 4 rounds :-

➯ Distance in 1 round × 4

Therefore , she will cover 1000m in 4 rounds.

☞ Now, Converting metres into km's :-

Divide it by 1000 :-

ㅤ‎‎‎‎ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 1000/1000

ㅤ‎‎‎‎ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 1 km

Therefore, she will cover 1 km.
