Step-by-step explanation:

Let

Breadth = b

length = b + 5

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

142 = 2(b+b+5)

142 = 2(2b+5)

142/2=(2b)+(5)

71=2b+5

71-5=2b

66=2b

b=66/2

b=33 m

l=b+5

l=38 m

Area = lb

38 x 33 = Area

Area = 1254 m

Answer:

let the breadth be x

length =x+5

perimeter of a rectangle =2(l+b)

142=2(x+5+x)

142=2x+10+2x

142-10=4x

132=4x

x=132/4

x=33
