AnswEr :

›»› The ratio of its length to perimeter is 1:3.

Given :

  • Length of a rectangular plot = 16 m.
  • Breadth of a rectangular plot = 8 m.

To Find :

  • The ratio of length to perimeter = ?

Solution :

Since rectangular plot is in the shape of rectangle. So,

As we know that

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(16 + 8)

→ Perimeter of rectangle = {(2 * 16) + (2 * 8)}

→ Perimeter of rectangle = {32 + (2 * 8)}

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 32 + 16

Perimeter of rectangle = 48

The perimeter of a rectangular plot is 48 m.

Now,

Ratio of length to perimeter = length : perimeter.

→ Ratio = 16 : 48

→ Ratio = 8 : 24

→ Ratio = 4 : 12

Ratio = 1 : 3

Hence, the ratio of its length to perimeter is 1:3.

Answer:

Given :-

  • Length of rectangular plot = 16 m
  • Breadth of rectangular plot = 8 m

To Find :-

Ratio of length to perimeter

Solution :-

As we know that

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Perimeter of plot = 2(16+8)

Perimeter of plot = 2×16+2×8

Perimeter of plot = 32+16

Hence :-

Perimeter of plot = 48 m

Now,

Let's find ratio

Ratio = Length : Perimeter

Ratio = 16 : 48

Ratio = 16/48

Ratio = ⅓

Ratio = 1:3

Bytes

A rectangle has 4 sides.

Opposite sides are equal to each other.

It is also a quadrilateral.

The sum of all interior angle is 360⁰.

Some formula

Area of rectangle = l × b

Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Volume of cube = side³ or side × side × side

Area of square = side²

Perimeter of square = 4 × side
