The length of a rectangular plot is 4 m longer than its breadth. if each of the length and the breadth of the plot be increased by 4 m the area of the new rectangle will be 120 sq. m more than that of the original rectangle. Find the length and the breadth of the given rectangle.

length = 4x

breadth =x
then the breadth is increased
breadth = x+4
area =120
l ×b =120
4x × (x+4)=120
4xsqaure +16x _ 120 =0 now factorize
