Answer: 2(l+b) = 200 meters

2(40+x+x) =200

80 + 4x =200

4x= 200-80

Therefore x=120/4= 30 meters

length of the plot =40+30=70 meters per side

Perimeter of a rectangular plot = 200m

Let its breadth be b

its length be (40+b)

ATP

2(l+b) = 200

= 2(40+b+b) = 200

= 80+4b = 200

= 4b = 200-80

= b = 120/4

= b = 30

Ans: Length = (40+30)m = 70m
