Answer: Area of rectangle is 2560 cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

Let breadth of a rectangular plot = y

According to question length of a rectangular plot is 60 % more than its breadth.

So length of a rectangular plot = 1.6y

But difference between length and breadth of the rectangle is 24 cm

1.6y - y = 24

0.6y = 24

y = 40 cm.

So breadth of a rectangular plot = 40 cm.

And length of a rectangular plot = 1.6× 40 = 64 cm.

∴ area of rectangle = length × breadth

                                = 40 × 64

                                = 2560 cm².
