The length of a rectangular plot is 8m more than its breadth. If the perimeter of the plot is 64m, find the length and breadth.​

Let the breadth of the plot be x. Then its length is (x+8).

Area of rectangular plot = $2(length + breadth)$

⇒ $2(length + breadth) = 64$

⇒ $((x+8)+ x) = 32$

⇒ $2x + 8 = 64$  

⇒ $x = 56/2$

⇒ $x = 28$

∴ length = 36 m and  breadth = 28m
