GIVEN :

  • The length of the rectangular plot is thrice its breadth.
  • The perimeter of the rectangular plot is 144 m.

TO FIND :

  • Length and breadth.

SOLUTION :-

We know that,

\bigstar{ \boxed{ \tt{ \red{Perimeter  \: of  \: rectangle = 2 (l +b) }}}} \bigstar

Let the breadth of the rectangular plot be x m .

Then , its length = 3x m

:  \implies {\sf{Perimeter = 144 m}}

  : \implies{\sf{2(3x + x) = 144}}

: \implies{\sf{6x + 2x = 144}}

: \implies{\sf{8x = 144}}

  : \implies{\sf{x =   \cancel{\dfrac{144}{8}}}}

  : \implies{ \boxed{\tt{x = 18}}}

Therfore,

  • Breadth = 18 m
  • Length = 3×18 = 54 m

Answer:

GIVEN :

The length of the rectangular plot is thrice its breadth.

The perimeter of the rectangular plot is 144 m.

TO FIND :

Length and breadth.

SOLUTION :-

We know that,

\bigstar{ \boxed{ \tt{ \purple{Perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2 (l +b) }}}}

Let the breadth of the rectangular plot be x m .

Then , its length = 3x m

Perimeter = 144 m

 \pink{: \implies{\sf{2(3x + x) = 144}}}

 \pink{: \implies{\sf{6x + 2x = 144}}}

 \pink{: \implies{\sf{8x = 144}}}

 \pink{: \implies{\sf{x = \cancel{\dfrac{144}{8}}}}}

 \pink{: \implies { \boxed{\tt{x = 18}}}}

  • Therfore,

  • Breadth = 18 m
  • Length = 3×18 = 54 m
