Let the breadth of the rectangular plot be 'x'
According to the question, the length is thrice the breadth i.e.
length=3x
Area of a rectangle = length × breadth
867 = 3x × x
867 = 3x ²
867/3 = x²
289 = x²
17 = x
Breadth of the rectangular plot = 17 m
