Explanation:

perimeter of rectangular plot = 2 * (L + b)

180 m = 2 * ( 2x + x)

90 m = 3x

x = 30 m

So , the breadth = 30 m

& Length = 2(30) = 60 m

Now , Area of the rectangular plot

= length × breadth

= 60 × 30

= 1800 m²

Answer:

Area is 1800sq.metres

Explanation:

Let x and y be the length and breadth respectively then according to the question:

x = 2y.................( 1 )

We also know that the perimeter of a rectangle is given by

2(x + y) = perimeter \\  \\ 2(2y+y) = 180 .......(from(1))\\  \\ 2(3y) = 180 \\  \\ 6y = 180 \\  \\ y = 30m \\   \\ again \: from \: (1) \\ \\ x = 2y = 2(30) \\  \\ x = 60m

Now area of rectangle is given by

xy = area  = \\  \\  =  > area = (30)(60)  \\  \\   = 1800 {m}^{2}
