The length of a rectangular plot of land is twice its breadth. If the perimeter of the plot
be 300 m, find its area.

Breadth :- y

Length :- 2y

Perimeter :- 300

Perimeter of rectangle → 2( l + b )

300 = 2 ( 2y + y )

300 = 2 × 3y

3y = 300/2

3y = 150

y = 150/3

y = 50

Length = 2y → 2×50

Length = 100

Length → 100, Breadth → 50

Area of rectangle =

Length × Breadth

100 × 50

5000 m²..
