the length of a rectangular tank is 100 mts breadth is 80mts if water is flowing through a square sluice of area 1 metre square at 40m per minutes then the time taken to fill the tank to depth of 2 mts​

Answer:

length of rectangle=100m

breadth of rectangle..=80m

required height =2m

area of square sluice =1 sq.m

In one minute, volume of water flows through sq. sluice = (1×40)cu.m

volume of tank=( 100×80×2)cu.m

Atq,

let the time taken be X min.. to fill the tank,

so, X ×40=80×100×2

X =80×100×2/40

thus, X =400min..

or, 6.7hours(approx)...
