Step-by-step explanation:

area of rectangle = 120

L * B = 120 --------(1)

The length of a Rectugalur plot is greater than thrice its breath by 2m

L = 2+3B ----(2)

(2+3B)*B = 120

2B + 3B² - 120 = 0

3B²+2B -120 = 0

3B²- 18B +20B -120 = 0

3B( B-6) +20(B-6) = 0

B = 6m

substitute B value in (2)

L = 2 + 3(6)

L = 20 m
