let the breadth be b
area for carpeting= 1.5b*b
cost for carpeting=325(1.5b*b)
325(1.5b*b)=17550
b=6m and length=9m

let the height of the wall be h
area for repair=length * h
cost of repair= 140(9*h) length =9m
140(9*h)=24080
h=19.11m

Answer:

9× 6 × 5.73

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of the room be b .

Since we are given that the length of a room is 1 and half times of its breadth

So, length of the room l = 1.5 b

Area carpeted by Rs 325 = 1 m²

Area carpeted by Rs 1 = \frac{1}{325}

Area carpeted with Rs 17550 = \frac{1}{325} \times 17550

                                                = 54

So, The Area of the floor = 54 sq.m.

Area of floor = Length \times Breadth = b \times 1.5 b

So,  b \times 1.5 b =54

1.5 b^2 =54

b^2 =\frac{54}{1.5}

b^2 =36

b=6

So,breadth of the room is 6 m.

length of the room =1.5× 6= 9 m

Let the height of the room be h m.

Area of the walls = 2h ( l + b ) = 2h ( 9+6) = 30h

Cost of repairing the walls at Rs. 140 per sq.m. is Rs. 24080.

So, Area of walls = \frac{24080}{ 140}

                            = 172

So, 30h = 172

h =\frac{172}{30}

h =5.73

Therefore, the height of the room is 5.73 m.

Hence the dimensions of the room is 9× 6 × 5.73
