Question :

To find area of rectangle and the cost to flooring a room.

Solution :

  • Given :

Width - 0.75 m

Length is 3 times it's width.( 3× width)

\bf\underline{area \: of \: rectangle = l \times b}

  • L = length
  • B = Breadth( width)

  • Length = 3×0.75 = 2.25

⟹ Area = 2.25× 0.75 = 1.6875 m²

  • To find cost of flooring :

\bf\underline{ \: area \:  \times rate \: of \: flooring \: per \:  {m}^{2} }

  • Area = 1.6875 m²
  • Cost of flooring per m² =Rs. 45

⟹ Cost of flooring = 1.6875 × 45 =Rs 75.9375
