The length of a room is 4 m
greater than the width. The perimeter of
the room is 28 m. Find the width of the
room.

Answer:

Assume, width = x m

so, length = x + 4 m

given , perimeter of room =28m

perimeter of rectangular room = 2(l+b)

put the value in formula:-

28 = 2( x+4+x)

28 = 2x+8+2x

28-8 = 4x

4x = 20x= 20/4 = 5

x = 5

width = 5m

length = x+4 m= 5+4 = 9 m
