The length of a room is twise its width and the cost of paving its floor is Rs .544 at Rs . 4.25 per square metre. find its length and width ​

Let the width of the room = x and length = 2x

Total rate of paving the floor = Rs. 544

Thus, reqd. equation => 2x^2 × 4.25 = 544

=> 2x^2 = 54400/425 = 128

=> x^2 = 64

=> x = 8

Thus, width = 8 m and length = 16 m
