The length of a rope is (12x + 3)metre. A length of
(3x - 7)metre is cut for use. How much rope is left?​

Total length = 12x +3

Length of one piece cut from it = 3x - 7

Remaining length of rope = 12x + 3 - 3x + 7

= 9x + 10
