The length of a rope is decreased by 12/1/2 percent what is the new length if it was 150 metre ?

Solution :

Original Length of the rope = 150 m

decreased length ( d ) = 12½ % = 12.5%

After decreasing the new length so

formed = Original Length×[( 100 -d)/100]

= 150[ ( 100 - 12.5 )/100 ]

= (150 × 87.5 )/100

= 13125/100

= 132.25 m
