the length of a rope is decreased by 12 1/2%. what is the new length if it was 150 m long

The length of the rope is 150m

Decrease in length (%)=12.5%

Therefore the new length is

150×12.5/100

= 150×125/1000

=15×5/4

=75/4

=18.75

Therefore new length is

150-18.75

=131.25
