Answer:

Question : The length of a rectangle is twice its breadth

if its perimeter is 48 m, find the dimensions of the rectangle.

Answer :

Let the length be l

and Breadth be b

l = 2b (1)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

48 = 2(2b + b)

48 = 2(3b)

48 = 6b

b = 48/6

b = 8m

Substituting b = 8 in (1), we get

l = 2(8)

l = 16m

Therefore, The dimensions of the rectangle are 16 x 8 m
