Given :  The length of a shadow of 5 m high tree at a certain time of the day is 7.5 m.

To Find : the height of another tree whose shadow at that time is 75 metres long?

Solution:

Length of tree 1  = 5 m

Shadow length of Tree 1 = 7.5 m

Let say Length of another tree = L m

Shadow of another tree  = 75 m

Length of tree 1 / Shadow of tree 1  =  Length of another tree  / Shadow of another tree

=> 5 / 7.5  = L/75

=> 5  * 75 / 7.5  = L

=> 5 * 10 = L

=> L = 50  m

Length of another tree = 50 m
