one side of a triangle is 6 cm

let the third side be x cm

∴the second side is=2x cm

ATP

6 cm+ x cm+2x cm= 18 cm -

x cm+2x cm= 18 cm -6 cm

3x cm= 12cm

x = 12cm ÷3

x = 4cm

the third side be 4 cmANS

Let the third side of the Δ(triangle) be = x

One side of a triangle = 6cm

The second side = 2xcm

⇒ 6cm + x cm + 2x cm = 18cm

⇒ 6 + 3x = 18cm

⇒ 3x = 18 - 6

⇒ x = 12/3

⇒ x = 4

1st side = 6cm

2nd side = x = 4cm

3rd side = 2 × x = 2 × 4 = 8cm
