ANSWER:-

Given:

•The length of a steel tape is 10m.

•It's width is 2.4cm.

To find:

The ratio of its length to width.

Solution:

Length of tape=10m

convert in centimeters= 1m= 100cm

Then,

=) (10 × 100cm)

=) 1000cm

=) 1000× 10mm

=) 10000mm

&

Width of tape = 2.4cm

=) 2.4 ×10mm

=) 24mm

Therefore,

=) Length : width

=) 10000 : 24

=) 1250 : 3

Thus,

The ratio of its length to width is 1250:3.

Thank you.
