Since, OQ=9 cm and OP=15 cm

To find: PQ=?

By Pythagoras theorem,

OQ2+PQ2=OP2

(9 cm)2+PQ2=(15 cm)2

PQ2=225 cm2−81 cm2

PQ2=144 cm2

PQ=144 cm2

PQ=12 cm

Length of the tangent =12 cm
