the formulae of area of trap. is 1/2(sum of parallel side)×h
by using this formulae
=1/2×(12+8)×h=100
=1/2×20×h=100
=10×h=100
=h=100/10
=h=10cm
by using this formulae
=1/2×(12+8)×h=100
=1/2×20×h=100
=10×h=100
=h=100/10
=h=10cm

Answer:
Given that
parallel sides is equal to 12cm and 8cm
Area is equal to 100sq cm
distance between them is equal to 'x'
The formulae to find the area of a trapezium is
1/2(sum of the parallel sides)(distance between them)
therefore 1/2(12cm+8cm)x=100sq cm
=> 1/2(20cm)x=100sq cm
=>10x cm =100sq cm
=>(by transporting 10 to R. H. S
we get
=>x=100sqcm/10cm
=>x=10cm
therefore the distance between the two parallel sides is 10 cm
