the length of arectangle is 10cm more than twice its breadth if the perimeter of the rectangle is 50cm ,find its dimensions and also its area​

x + x + 10cm =50cm

2x + 10cm = 50cm

2x + 10cm - 10cm = 50cm -10cm

2x = 40cm

2x/2 =40cm/2

x = 20cm

since perimeter is the total distance around the figure and there are 2 length and widths we divide it by 2

x=20cm/2

 = 10cm

length = 10cm + 10cm

           = 20cm

A = L times W

   = 20cm times 10cm

    = 200cm squared
