Given,

The base edge of prism = 8 cm

Height = 10 cm

To find,

Total surface area of the prism.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

The base area of the prism :

= (8×8) cm² [As, it is a square]

= 64 cm²

Area of lateral face of the prism :

= (8×10) cm² [As, it is a rectangle]

= 80 cm²

Number of bases = 2

Number of lateral faces = 4

Total surface area = 2 x base area + lateral surface area = (2×64) + (4×80) = 128+320 = 448 cm²

Hence, the TSA of prism 448 cm².
