Solution :-
Given,
length of Canvas = 1.2m ---------- (I)
Floor of the area = 346.5 m^2
π×r^2 = 346.5
r^2 = 346.5/π
r^2 = 110.25
r = 10.5 m
(r = radius of base)
Surface area of conical tent = π×r×l
l = slant height
l = sqrt (h^2+r^2)
=> sqrt(14^2+10.5^2)
=> 17.5m
Surface area = π×10.5×17.5
=> 577.5 m^2
we know,
Area of canvas = surface area of conical tent
length of canvas× width of canvas
= 577.5 m^2 ------------------- (ii)
length of canvas× 1.2 = 577.5 ( from (I), (ii) )
length of canvas = 577.5 /1.2
length of Canvas = 481.25 m Ans.
