The length of cuboid is 12cm, breadth and height are equal in measurements and its

volume is 432cm3 The cuboid is cut into 2 cubes. Find the lateral surface area of each

cube.​

L=12cm

B=H=x(breadth=height)

V=432cm³

lbh=432cm³

12*x*x=432

x²=432/12

x²=36

x=√36

x=6cm=B=H

Now the cuboid is cut into two cubes

Hence volume of each cube=432cm³/2

Volume of each cube= 216cm³

Since sides of cube are equal

Hence a³=216cm³

a=cube root of 216

a=6cm

Lateral surface area= 4a²

4*6*6=144cm²

Hence lateral surface area of each cube with side 6cm is 144cm²
