The length of diagonal of a square is 10√2 cm. Find its side.

nitishraosahab: 10 is side
nitishraosahab: 10 cm
nitishraosahab: a² + a² = (10√2)² and after that 2a²=200 after that a² = 100 then a =√100=10

\sf\huge\bold{Solution}

Given

Length of Diagonal of a square is 10√2cm

To Find

Side of the square

We know the formula

\sf\bold{D =  \sqrt{2} a}

\sf \longmapsto \: a =  \sqrt{2}  \dfrac{d}{2}

\sf \longmapsto \: a =  \sqrt{2}  \times  \dfrac{10 \sqrt{2} }{2}

\sf \longmapsto \: a = {\cancel{ \sqrt{2}}}  \times  \dfrac{10 \sqrt{2} }{{\cancel{ \sqrt{2}}}  \times  \sqrt{2} }

\sf \longmapsto \: a =  \dfrac{10 \sqrt{2} }{2}

\sf \longmapsto \: a = 10cm

 \sf \therefore \: side \: of \: square \: is \: 10cm

Extra solved

we have side a=10cm

Then we can easily find the perimeter of square

Perimeter of square =4a

=>4×10=40cm

Area of square =(side)²

=>(10)²=100cm²
