Explanation:

ABCD is a square.

AB = BC = CD = AD = sides

AC = Diagonal = 50cm

In triangle ABC,

By Pythagoras Theorem,

AB² + BC² = AC²

x² + x² = 50²

2x² = 2500

x² = 2500/2 = 1250

x = 25√2

Side of the square = a = 25√2

Perimeter = 4a units

Perimeter = 4×25√2

= 100√2 cm or 141.42 cm
