The length of each of the legs of an isosceles triangle is 3 km longer than the base. The perimeter of the triangle is 24 km. How do you find the length of each side?

Let the length of base be x, then the length of each leg will be x+3

According to question

x + (x + 3) + (x + 3) = 24

3x + 6 = 24

3x = 18

x = 6km

Therefore

Base= x= 6km

Leg= x+3= 6+3= 9km
