The length of each side of a square field is 27 m. If the length of each side is uncreased by 4m. Then what will be the increase in perimeter of the square field?​

Side of the square field (a) = 16 m

∴ Area of the square field = (a)²

= 16 × 16 = 256 m²

(i) each of its sides increased by 4 m

∴ New side = (16 + 4) m = 20 m

∴ New area of the square field = (a)²

= 20 × 20 = 400 m²

(ii) Each of its side is doubled

∴ New side = 16 × 2 = 32 m

∴ New area of the square field = (a)²

= 32 × 32 = 1024 m²
