Answer:

Perimeter of square = 4*side

so, perimeter of square is 4*6=24cm

Equilateral triangle have 3 equal.side

so, length if each side of equilateral triangle is

= 24/3=8cm

Ans will be 8 cm

Given:

A square with

  • Side = 6 cm

What To Find:

We have to find the

  • Side of the equadrilateral triangle whose perimeter is equal to that of the square.

How To Find:

We have to,

  • First, find the perimeter of square.
  • Next, Perimeter of square = Perimeter of triangle
  • Then, find the side of the triangle.

Formula:

  • Perimeter of square = 4 × side
  • Perimeter of equidraletral triangle = 3 × side

Solution:

  • Finding the perimeter of square.

Using the formula,

⇒ Perimeter = 4 × side

Substitute the values,

⇒ Perimeter = 4 × 6 cm

Mulitiply 4 by 6 cm,

⇒ Perimeter = 24 cm

∴ Thus, the perimeter of sqaure is 24 cm.

  • Finding the side of the triangle.

As we know that,

⇒ Perimeter of square = Perimeter of triangle

Also written as,

⇒ 24 cm = 24 cm

So substitute the formula of triangle,

⇒ 24 cm = 3 × side

Take 3 to LHS,

\sf{\dfrac{24}{3} = side}

Divide 24 by 3,

⇒ 8 cm = side

∴ Thus, the side of the equilateral triangle is 8 cm.
