Length of the equator on the surface of a globe = 88 cm
⇒ 2πr = 88
⇒ 2 x (22/7) x r = 88
⇒ r = 14

Radius of the globe = 14 cm

Surface area of the globe = 4πr2
                                     = 4 x (22/7) x (14) x (14)
                                     = 616 cm2.

hope it will help uh...
