Step-by-step explanation:

Length of 1st rope = x+20

Length of 2nd rope = x

Length of 3rd rope = x-10

According to the question,

x + 20 + x + x + (-10) = 70

x + 20 + x + x - 10 = 70

3x + 10 = 70

3x = 60

x = 20

Length of 1st rope = x+20 = 20 + 20 = 40 cm

Length of 2nd rope = x = 20 cm

Length of 3rd rope = x-10 = 20 - 10 = 10 cm
