Answer:

40 mtr

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

Rectangular garden

Length of the garden = 2× breadth

Let, the breadth of the garden = x

length of the garden = 2× breadth

Length = 2x

According to the question

Area of rectangle = l×b

200=2x×x

2x

2

=800

x

2

=400

x

2

=(20)

2

x=20

Breadth of garden = 20m

length of garden =2× breadth

=2×20

Length =40mtr

Solution

Given :-

  • The length of garden is twice the breadth of garden
  • Area is 800cm²

To Find :-

  • Its perimeter

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let the breadth be x

So,

Length will be 2x

As we know that :-

Area of rectangle = l × b

Therefore,

Area of garden = 2x × x

=> 800 = 2x²

=> x² = 800/2

=> x² = 400

=> x = √ 400

=> x = 20

Hence,

The breadth = 20 cm

And Length = 20 × 2 = 40 cm

As we know that :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Therefore,

Perimeter of garden = 2 ( 40 + 20 )

Perimeter of garden = 2 × 60

Perimeter of garden = 120 cm
