Formula

Area of Garden = Length * Breadth

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2( Length + Breadth )

Given

Length = 2( Breadth )

Area of rectangular garden = 800 cm²

Solving

800 cm² = 2( Breadth ) * Breadth

800 cm² = 2( Breadth )²

400 cm² = ( Breadth )²

Taking roots we get,

20 cm = Breadth

Then length will be

2* 20 cm = 40 cm

Formula of perimeter of a rectangular garden

= 2( Length + Breadth )

= 2( 40cm + 20cm )

= 2( 60 cm )

= 120 cm

Answer

So, the perimeter of garden is 120 cm.

Thank you.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: Given:- Area = 800 cm ^2

Let the breadth be x

=> Length will be 2x ( According to the question )

We know that,

Area of rectangle = length  x breadth

Therefore, area of garden = 2x x x

=> 800 = 2x^2

=> x^2 = 800/2

=> x^2= 400

=> x = √ 400

=> x = 20

Therefore, breadth = 20 cm

=> Length = 20 x 2 = 40 cm

We know that,

Perimeter of rect. = 2( length + breadth)

Therefore , perimeter of garden = 2( 40 + 20 )

=>  Perimeter = 2 x 60

=> Perimeter = 120 cm    (Ans.)
