Answer:

The swept area of a clock hand is always circular area.

And the radius of that circular area is the length of the given clock hand.

And according to data mentioned in the question:

The swept area in one minute will be:

=2.π.14² [area of a circle is 2πr]

=1232 cm²

The swept area in five minutes will be:

=5×1232 cm²

=6160 cm² (answer)

plz mark it as brainliest

i will be really glad if you do

hope this helps you

have a nice day !

Answer:

total length of minute hand = 14cm

length of min hand can be taken as radius of circle formed from centre of clock till the points where the other end of clock is moving

area covered by min hand in hour= area of circle formed by minute hand in 1 hour

area = πr²

area of circle= (22/7)×14×14

=756cm²

therefore, area covered in 1 hour i.e., 60min=756cm²

in 1 min area covered by min hand= 756/60

area covered by min hand in 5 min = (756/60)×5

=63cm²

Hence the area covered by min hand in 5 min is 63cm²
