The minute hand of clock acts and radius of clock which is 14cm long.

Therefore angle made by min hand in 5 mins= 5/60 * 6/6  =  30'

Now Area swept by min hand = Area of Sector =

= 22/7 * 14 * 14 *  30/360                                               
=  22 * 2 * 14 * 1/12

= 154/3  cm square or

= 51.333  cm square
