Square : A polygon which has the following properties -

             ⇒ I has 4 equal sides

             ⇒ All the interior angles are 90° each

• Perimeter = (4a) units

• Area = ${(a)}^{2}$ unit square

Now,

From the question,

The side of a square field is 25 m

To be found :-

The cost of fencing at the rate of Rs 18 per metre

Fencing is done for the perimeter

So,

The perimeter of the square field = 4a units

                                                        = 4 × 25 m

                                                         = 100 m

∴ The perimeter of the square is 100 m

Now,

If the cost of the fencing 1 m = Rs 18

So,

The cost of fencing the perimeter of the square field

= 100 × 18

= Rs 1800

Hence,

The cost of fencing the square field at the rate of Rs 18 per m = Rs 1800
