The length of one side of a square is increased by 1 cm and that of the other side is reduced by 3 cm.
The rectangle now formed has a perimeter of 64 cm

Let the side of square be x ,length and breadth of rectangle will be x +1 and x-3

perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l+b )

64 {2(x+1 + x-3)

32- 2×-2

x= 17
