Given,

The perpendicular of the right angle triangle = 3 cm

The base of the right angle triangle = 4 cm.

To find,

The other unknown side.

Solution,

The length of the unknown side of the right angle triangle can be determined by using the Pythagoras theorem.

According to Pythagoras Theorem.

(Hypotenuse)² = (Base)²+(Perpendicular)²

(H)² = (4)² + (3)²

     = 16+9

     = 25

Hypotenuse = √25

                    =5 units

Hence, the length of the unknown side of the right angle triangle can be determined by using the Pythagoras theorem which is 5 units.
