Answer:

17 cm and 8 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Length = ( x + 9 ) cm

Let Breadth = x cm

Area of Given Rectangle

= L × B = ( x + 9 ) ( x ) = ( x² + 9x ) cm²

New Length = x + 9 + 3 = ( x + 12 ) cm

New Breadth = ( x + 3 ) cm

Area of New Rectangle

= L × B = ( x + 12 ) ( x + 3 ) = x ( x + 3 ) + 12 ( x + 3 )

= x² + 3x + 12x + 36 = ( x² + 15x + 36 ) cm²

According To Question

x² + 15x + 36 = x² + 9x + 84

15x - 9x = 84 - 36

6x = 48

x = 8

So Length of Given Rectangle = 8 + 9 = 17 cm

Breadth of Given Rectangle = 8 cm
