let ,

breadth be x cm

then ,

length = ( x + 6 ) cm

perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b )

2 ( x+6 + x ) = 60

2x + 6 = 30

x = 12

therefor ,

breadth = 12

and

length = 18

The length and the breadth are 18 m and 12 m respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width of rectangle be x

We are given that the length of rectangle exceeds its width by 6 cm .

Length of rectangle = x+6

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)=2(x+6+x)=4x+12

We are given that  its perimeter is 60 cm

So, 4x+12=60

4x=60-12

4x=48

x=12

Length of rectangle = x+6=12+6=18 m

Breadth of rectangle = 12 m

Hence The length and the breadth are 18 m and 12 m respectively.
