Length= 2× Breadth

Perimeter= 2(L+B)

= 2(2×B+B)= 2×3B= 6B

48= 6B

B= 48/6= 8Cm

Length= 2×8= 16 CM

Length= 16 cm, Breadth= 8 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

✶ Answer :

  • Length = 16 cm
  • Breadth = 8 cm

✶ Given :

  • The length of rectangle is 2 times it's breadth and perimeter is 48 cm. Then find the dimensions.

✶ To find :

  • The dimensions of the rectangle.

✶ Solution :

Given,

Perimeter = 48cm.

According to the question,

Length is 2 times it's breadth.

Therefore,

  • Length = 2x
  • Breadth = x

As we know,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)

Putting Values :

48 = 2 (2x + x)

48 = 2 × 3x

48/2 = 3x

24 = 3x

x = 24/3

x = 8

We got the value of x = 8.

  • Length = 2x = 2 × 8 = 16 cm.

  • Breadth = x = 8 cm.
