Answer:525cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : length of the rectangle is 20 cm

more than its breadth.

Perimeter = 100 cm

To find: Area of the rectangle

Solution:

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

Then, length = (x+20)cm

As we know, perimeter of the rectangle = 2×(l+b)

Perimeter of the rectangle =

2×(x+20+x)= 100

2× 2x+20 =100

2x+20 = 100/2

2x+20= 50

2x = 50-20

x = 30/2

x = 15

Therefore, breadth = 15 cm

length= 15+20= 35cm

Now, area of the rectangle = l×b

= 15×35

= 525cm^{2}

Hope it helps!
