Perimeter of a rectangle = 2× (l+b)

Let the breadth be b =

36 = 2× ( 3- 2b + b )

36 = 6 - 4b + 2b

36 = 6 - 6b

6b = 36 + 6

6b = 42

b = 42/6

breadth = 7 cm

Length = 3 - 2× 7

= 11 cm
