As per the data given in the question,

In the above question, it is given that,

The given length of a rectangle is 5cm more than its breath.

The perimeter of the rectangle is 96cm

We have to use the formula of perimeter P=2(l+ b).

Here in the question, we have to use the formula of the  perimeter.

Thus substituting the value in the formula of the perimeter,

\begin{array}{l}\Rightarrow 70=2(x+(x+5)) \\\Rightarrow \frac{70}{2}=2 x+5 \\\Rightarrow 2 x+5=35 \\\Rightarrow 2 x=35-5=30 \\\Rightarrow x=\frac{30}{2}=15 \mathrm{~cm}\end{array}

Hence breath is 15cm and length is 15+5=20cm
